Dr. Catherine Anraku Hondorp

D
r. Catherine Hondorp is certified at the highest level of Network Spinal Analysis.  She continues to attend educational seminars with the founder of NSA and SRI, Dr. Donald Epstein www.donaldepstein.com to keep up to date on the new advances in Network Care.

Catherine's fascination with the body began with her love of dance. She followed her passion for movement  with a career that spanned 20 years as a professional Modern Dancer and Choreographer in New York City dancing in her own work and that of many other 'downtown' artists. She earned a Masters Degree in Dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Her curiosity for the internal world, 'under the skin' led her to studies in Alexander Technique, Contact Improvisation, IdeoKinesis, Authentic Movement and various other body oriented techniques. Over all, these studies established within her, a kinesthetic foundation of deep trust in the body's innate ability to re-educate, re-pattern and heal itself.

Her skills as a teacher of movement stem from many years working with all ages and abilities in classes ranging from creative movement for children to teaching young adults in college settings such as Rutgers University, Queens College, Brooklyn College.  She also was a visiting teacher in the Public Schools of NYC through the Lincoln Center Artists in the Schools Program.  Individually Catherine worked with private clients as a personal fitness coach designing specialized programs to suit varied needs.

A curve in the path of her life led her in 1992 to pursue Chiropractic training. She did post-graduate work in Chiropractic Neurology with Dr. Ted Carrick and became a leader in the Sacro-Occipital Technique and Applied Kinesiology Clubs. Dr. Hondorp received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri in December 1996. During her Internship year she discovered Network and attended her first training seminar with Dr. Donald Epstein. His radical approach made absolute sense and inspired her to commit her chiropractic practice to this new wellness approach to healing. Dr. Hondorp began practicing Network Spinal Analysis in 1996 and opened her solo practice, The Chiropractic Healing Center of Southern Maine in Saco, Maine in 1998. In 2001, she moved to Massachusetts and opened The Life Center for Network Chiropractic, utilizing methods of ReOrganizational Healing such as NSA and SRI, in the center of Northampton.

Catherine Anraku Hondorp is also Zen Priest and certified Zen Teacher.  You can meditate with her at The Zen Center on Main Street  www.zenonmain.org  in Northampton. She is also the Adjunct Buddhist Chaplain to students at Smith College.
